Original Andy Warhol artworks will be coming to Croydon in a "groundbreaking" month-long project expected to bring a 100,000 visitors to the borough. RISEGallery, in St George's Walk, will be delivering the programme throughout September, which will feature a free exhibition of the legendary American artists' work as a tribute to his life, 30 years after his death. There will also be a street exhibition of giant artworks curated by RISEGallery and the artist Dotmasters, including tributes to Warhol by some of today's leading artists, displayed on town centre buildings and will be lit up at night. |
