Free The Nipple

dimanche 30 juillet 2017

So there is a growing movement ( Free The Nipple ) around the Western world for women to be afforded the same freedom to expose their breastages as us menfolk.

So what do the ladies and gentlemen of the good ship BBS think? Are there sensible reasons why women should cover up or is it a form of oppression? Do women on this forum wish they could expose some extra skin on an uncomfortably hot day and are stopped only by law and social convention? Or do women quite frankly not want to see other women's boobs, in much the same vein as those that object to breast feeding?

Are there even men that would object? Would we feel uncomfortable?

If this is ever allowed, do the women who strip have the right to expect men not to look? Or other women?

Is it right breasts are sexualized? Given that they currently are, is it realistic for women who would be granted the legal power to bare them to expect no one else to be affected? Or is this another example of the individual expecting society to adjust to accommodate individual desires?

Will it incite more molestation or even rape? If so, should baring female breasts continue to be banned, even if to stop the misbehaviour of men?

If female breasts can be shown publicly, where should this new attitude stop? Is public nudity something that should be allowed? Is it a question of us all adjusting, in the same way society adjusted to short skirts?

What would men and women alike think of women who wanted to go topless? Is anyone right to even judge someone on that metric?

In short, if we were truly a civilized society, which way should the pendulum swing on this?
