Scotland finally sees sense where the docking of dogs tails is concerned

dimanche 23 octobre 2016

At last Scotland is going to amend their animal welfare legislation to, once again, permit the docking of working dogs tails.

The irony is the reason for their change of heart is exactly the same as the original case used to ban it in the first place, the welfare of animals.

If only they'd listened back then there wouldn't have been thousands of dogs in Scotland so badly injured they required vetinary care as a result of sentiment overruling common sense.

Tail docking of working dogs - who actually do the job they were bred for - wasn't done for looks, it was to protect the dog from likely damage. Regarding docking dogs that are no longer worked such as bulldogs, well blame that shit on those wankers at the kennel club.
