Overwhelming Emotion: Pride

samedi 21 mai 2016

I hardly ever post on here, let alone start a topic but felt compelled to after today.

Home from Wembley and all I can feel is pride, I'm not upset at all really. Even when I talk about how close we came with Puncheon's goal I say it with somewhat of a smile on my face.
We didn't do anything wrong today. Yes, we were leading and didn't hold on. Yes, we didn't capitalise after Smalling was sent off (although with our style of play we were never going to). Yes, our manager did a stupid (and yet equally brilliant) dance. But at the end of the day none of that really matters. We were expected to lose, unfortunately we did. But if you're going to lose, lose well.
We did that today, we showed fight and determination- we left singing 'We love you' and boy did we sing all day. We would have won a lot of fans today, no matter what the result.
Be proud guys, we're a member of a classy(ish:D) football club. We stayed true to who we were. Sung all game not just after we scored. Didn't sing songs to try and wind up our opposition. We sung about Palace, about South London, we'll be back at Wembley soon....

Just to say the HF were awesome today, the display was awesome.
The day was awesome. Well done all. We might fall down once in a while but we can pick ourselves up and hold our head high. (Not sack our manager and hour after a cup final win).
Tell all the :jerkit: at work on Monday morning where to go, in a classy way though. :D
