After a couple of days recovering from Wembley I just got round to watching the Final on BBC. A few thoughts:
1) BBC had a lot of shots of our display and it looked impressive. I can't understand why some others have said it only appeared for 15 secs.
2) The BBC constantly praised our support, pointing out we were making all the noise. At one point they even ignored the match to announce the start of "We love you".
3) I think it was because we were making so much noise the poor girl missed her cue and fluffed the national anthem. The commentators seemed to suggest this.
4) United 'customers' were even more embarassing then I realised. At Wembley I thought I heard them singing, I now realise what I was actually hearing was the Palace fans to our left. :)
5) Utd actually look like a busted flush as a football club. They are so packed with tourists they can't generate any atmosphere. They are the club that have eaten themselves. If FC United of Manchester get in the league (which they will) the process will continue further.
They are a brand, nothing more.
6) Football is changing. We started it, Leicester have taken up the reins, others will follow.
