Just looked and the highest audience for league game last year was 3m, Manc Derby I think. Surprisingly low really. The cup final gets 9m (plus viewing around the world, as does the PL).
9m.
Not the 21m of its modern day heyday of the '70s and '80s. But pretty incredible and that doesn't include BT (of 2. People ;))
So a big, big day. The oppo may not rate it but the (a large part) of the country are watching!!!
