Today
For years I have always said once in my lifetime....today it becomes twice
Like a kid at Christmas sleep and dreams were disturbed throughout the night but now its the morning and I am awake and shortly the journey will begin. What the day will bring I can only hope it will be what I have desired from a small boy on that first day walking home from my first match down the Holmesdale Road. The day I fell in love with this crazy team called Crystal Palace. Today it is not just the journey to Wembley today is part of a journey of a lifetime.
In my heart I feel I am representing not just me but those of the family long since gone who loved this team as me, and the generations of fans yet to come at the gathering of the Red and Blue Army. My son will be with me is just one the next generation, his kids another watching this time on TV not yet old enough to join us, and hopefully generations more. I am just one a small player in the spectacular that could define this clubs history, but I am going there proud to represent my family in that moment.
Ok enough of this I could write so much more, so if in years to come the generations yet to come ever find this thread somewhere in the future you need to know one thing only right now. I am so nervous I can hardly eat so had toast for breakfast before setting off.
