Tesco, tip of the iceberg?

jeudi 16 octobre 2014

Reading a bit about the Tesco fiasco recently. Seems that the 'sharp' accounting practices that allowed the £250m hole to appear is pretty standard, especially in the business of supermarkets, and mainly due to the capitalist system we have needing to show endless growth.

Balfour Beatty also issued a profits warning recently with a £75m black hole. It could be likely that these deficits could well be more upon investigation.

If these practices are so stadard, and auditing companies so lax at highlighting the risks, how many more large corporations could be burying bad news?
