I sometimes pick up hitch hikers. Yesterday I picked up a guy who was returning from Melbourne to Brisbane as he had a warrant out for his arrest and had decided (after two years) to hand himself in. He had skipped bail from "a pub fight that went wrong..."
My work colleagues think I am mad and should expect to be robbed, raped or murdered.
In my defence, I have picked up several interesting characters including, way back in the late '80's, two girls on the A27 near Chichester who took me to an extremely wild party in Brighton:p
So, the question is, do you fellow BBSers pick up hitch hikers or been a hitch hiker yourself? If so have you ever been robbed, raped or murdered?
