Palace thrive on adversity

lundi 9 février 2015

Watching a re-run of the Leicester game makes me think that Palace always face down the threats. Indeed the higher the stakes, the more likely we are to do it. Hillsborough and the Amex are two cases in point but to a lesser extent, Cardiff, Burnley and now Leicester. I wonder if it has to do with decades of adversity which has been ingrained into the Palace shirt. Our players always seem to play for the shirt. One example of why I say this is Yaya Sanogo. It's as if he buys into the ethos, the work ethic, even the very history of Crystal Palace. Certainly, his work rate on Saturday was very impressive and this from a player in his fourth match for the club. If he reaches his potential who knows, maybe he'll sign for us. Certainly form there, Cham and Wilf just two others buying into the Palace spirit. Long may it continue.
