With the new TV deal yesterday and the unprecedented millions that it guarantees Premier League clubs, would it not be fantastic if Palace were to commit to paying all staff, employed and contracted, a living wage?
It seems incredibly unfair, immoral even, that with all the money swilling around at the top level 19 of 20 Premier League clubs fail to pay their staff a living wage, Chelsea being the only one to do so.
The living wage suits Palace's culture, fits in well with our community ethos and would also generate good headlines following negative stories such as the ones about our expensive mascot packages.
