Ryanair buys 75 Boeing 737 Max's - Would you fly in one?

vendredi 4 décembre 2020

In the FT this morning it said that Ryanair have given Boeing a lifeline and have purchased 75 of the planes that crashed on two occasions following several design, technical failures, and pilot training deficiencies, that led to the accidents.

That move means, at least for me, no more travel with Ryanair. I am simply not happy to fly on a plane that was an old design, modified so that in the interests of cost, new larger engines could be bolted on that can cause an additional risk of stalling, and only mitigated by the addition of sensors and patched up software, to correct it.

The new regime of additional pilot training where it was lacking before, is obviously welcome, but would you want to fly on a plane that had an intrinsic design take off stalling problem?
