During these difficult times I thought perhaps it'd do well to remember moments from the past that brought me great joy. Naturally with this in mind I was thinking of my (un)happy place, Selhurst Park.
One moment that sticks in my head was the return of Kevin Miller, it was after the QPR game (6-0 I think) and he'd announced his "retirement" but ended up returning with Barnsley. The game was a dull affair and wasn't very well attended so the atmosphere was hardly jumping. In the second half Miller was in the Holmesdale end goal. There was a point when someone was down injured, the game had stopped and all you could hear was gentle chatting, that was until from behind me in the Upper Holmesdale someone cut through the silence with:
"MILLER...YOU! FAT! C U N T!"
The cheering and laughter in the moments afterwards was something to behold, the fact that Miller must have heard it was even better. Whoever that was I salute you and hope that you're holding up ok as that was arguably my favourte "non footballing" Palace moment.
