Selling a Business

Turning to the BBS for some guidance and advice.

I’ve taken the decision to put my company on the market - looking either for investors or a buy out - just genuinely open to offers to see what we get.

Company has grown massively over the last 10 years but in truth the last two have seen unprecedented growth levels that we’d never have anticipated largely born out of a relationship we’ve forged with a single blue chip client. We’re talking 10x growth since the launch of a new internal platform behind our service.

The Challenge we understandably have is we’ve got this spike in turnover and we’re heavily reliant on this client so likely negotiations will take place over true value of the business...sometimes I fear it’s worth nothing inspite of strong turnover, growth and profit...it’s purely a brand, a piece of IP software and a huge client who loves our service.

Anyone been through anything similar? Any advice on what to expect in negotiations.
