Vodafone roaming charges

samedi 8 juillet 2017

We recently went to France, it happened to be the day after the Euro rules on roaming changed and everything went smoothly with no charges.

But and it is a big but my youngest daughter is now in Barbados on holiday and before she went I phoned Vodafone to check what the charges are as world passport was removed from our account when we last changed contracts.

I was told all my phones were on world travel and would only be charged £5 for every 24hr period it is used.

When my daughter got there she had a text saying a lot higher charges for very little use.

So I phoned Vodafone, they confirmed only a £5 charge and ignore text.

Next day more text and £30 cap imposed.

So I phoned Vodafone, they confirmed only a £5 charge and ignore text.

Next day daughter removed cap as she couldn't use phone and stopped text warnings.

So I phoned Vodafone, they confirmed only a £5 charge and ignore text.

I've now checked un-billed account and it says she owes £295 +vat

So I phoned Vodafone, they confirmed only a £5 charge and ignore bill it will be adjusted to £5 a day.

4th day and the un-billed is now up to £495 +vat.

My concern is they take the money by DD and I have to fight to get it back.

All calls are recorded so they have proof of what was said but I haven't.

What would you do?
