I am heading to Porto for a city break over the August bank holiday weekend and i will hopefully be getting the chance to fit a game in what with one of either Boavista or FC Porto hopefully playing at home. Not sure who yet though as their fixtures still seem to be unreleased.
Ive been doing a bit of exploring online for some fan friendly guides through the eyes of a ground hopping beer loving expert or two and sadly i haven't come across too much information. No trips blogged about by euro football weekends as far as i can see.
Is there anybody on here who knows a thing or two about football in the city i.e. Where to drink before games, friendly enough fans (I went to see Legia Warsaw play, very different culture i know, but needless to say they treat football tourists with a fair bit of caution which made for an edgy experience), do you need I.D. for tickets, can you drink in the grounds etc and then obviously any other tips for around the city itself i.e. where can we stuff our faces with some of the best grub going ;)
Any help someone could offer me would be most appreciated.
Saúde! :p
