On Saturday 6th February 1915 Palace played their last ever League game at The Crystal Palace and defeated Reading 4-1 in the Southern League Division One.
During the following week the government closed the whole of The Crystal Palace and turned it into a World War One Naval Training Station.
It seems the next scheduled home game against Southampton on 20th February was postponed and this became our first home fixture at Herne Hill (West Norwood FC ground) on Wednesday 3rd March.
