5 yes 5 substitutes.

Premier League clubs agree to five substitutes from 2022-23 season - To view the link you have to Register or Login

I think this decision is quite shit and favours to top teams.

5 subs next season

More apeasement for the big clubs hording players. 3 was fine 5 is stupid.

Press Conference Live: Arsenal

PV has said Wilf and Olise might both be available for Monday.

Olise isn't a hamstring injury and is only an issue with his foot.

Rules are as follows

1 Every player has 200 points to bet with in the first round.

2 Each separate bet made is 10 points meaning players have 20 bets during the first 20 days. Maximum bet on a single market is 10 points, same rule applies for identical multis (basically no duplicate bets though you can do a team A, team B double on one bet and then add team C for a treble in another bet)

3 In the second round the 4* finalists all start by carrying forward 25% of their score from the first round added to the 150 points that can bet used in the second round. The person who qualifies for the final with the most points also gets an additional 10pt bet. (*if the number of participants gets to 16 or more, then a 5th finalist place will be added and then one more for every 5 players on top of that).

4 Betting Masters, first group stages runs from 0000 on the first of the month (standard UK time) to 2359hrs on the 20th of the month. Then the top four* posters come together in a mini league from there on until the end of the month.
Final bet settlement must occur before 2359 on the last day of the month.

5 Naturally the winner is the person with the highest score at the end of the last day of the month.

6 Scoring consists of total winnings and is inclusive of 10 point stake i.e. someone bets on a 6/4 horse and it wins their score becomes 25 (15 points profits plus the 10 pt stake) There is no score for any bets not used. Losing bets are scored as zero, not -10.
Any bet from an exchange bookie will have a 4% commission (on the winnings), if nothing else is explicitly stated in the post.

7 Players must quote where they're getting their prices.

8 Singles and upwards accepted.

9 For boxed multis and bets such as Yankees, each separate bet within the bet counts as separate and will cost 10pts per bet. e.g. ten trebles from five selections will use up 100 points.

10. E/W bets are counted as two bets in the masters, which means 10 points x 2

11. For tracking purposes, players are requested to put the outcome of their bets on the post for all events other than European soccer/tennis.

12. Where possible players are requested to put down a running total of their bets in their posts, although I'll also try and produce rolling league tables where possible.

13. After a bet has been posted up, one is not allowed to edit it..

14. The bets must be possible to do in real life, meaning for example that if you got a multi, all the odds have to come from 1 bookmaker. You can’t shop around for the highest odds and put them together. "Special promotion" type bets are not allowed though BOG (Best Odds Guaranteed) are.

15. Bets must be placed at odds of 1/10 (or 1.1 in decimal) or higher

16. Any Draw No Bet bets where the result is a push will always have the bet settled as void, never 10pts. Any asian handicap bet where the result is a push (in full) will have the bet settled as void. Any asian handicap where half of the stake is returned will be marked down as 5pts with the remainder of the Asian handicap settled as a win or a loss (this is applicable for asian handicaps such as 2.25 or -2, -2.5 etc)

17. In the event that a player is not sure if their bet will finish in time, before midnight on the 20th or midnight for qualifying midnight on the final day of the month for the final, they can make a provisional bet or bets which then become actual bets only if their original selection(s) finishes at 12.01am or after.

Everton

Turnover of about £200m

In 2020 they made a loss of £140m
In 2021 they made a loss of £120m

Their amortisation of players dropped from £100m to £80m per year!

Their wages went UP from 165m to 182m!

Yet this season they look like it is still possible they will get relegated.

Their figures are staggering!

The FA cup final pleading for tickets thread

mercredi 30 mars 2022

As we are going to Tonk the invaders in the semi I thought I would get in first with my plea for a final ticket. Two would be amazing but after all these years I gotta be there to see it lifted before I pop this mortal coil. So if any of you kind fans can help when the time comes please DM ;)

Unwanted programmes

Hi all

I'm having a clear out and I've got just over 300 Palace programmes that I no longer have space for. Rather than throw them away, I thought someone on here might like to take them off my hands (free of charge of course).

It's mostly home programmes from around 2003 to 2014ish, with a handful of away games. I'm based in Dulwich so happy to drop them off somewhere reasonably close or feel free to come and collect them. Please message me if you're interested.

Thanks

Paintings auction for Disasters Emergency Committee in Ukraine

I am sure I’m not alone in feeling distressed, angry and deeply disturbed by the current crisis in Ukraine. I’m writing to you today about an auction I am starting in aid of the current refugee and displaced persons campaign for Ukraine being carried out by the Disasters Emergency Committee.

They strike me as particularly good to support, in that they also have presence within Ukraine as well as in neighbouring countries. This is something that is within my power to do in order to help, so I hope you can support me with this project.

I am auctioning off my remaining inventory of paintings, which some of you will be familiar with. I’ve created two pages on my website, showing the items for auction, their reserve prices, and some guidelines for participating. I’m afraid this is a fairly primitive mechanism for auction, in that I can’t support real-time competitive bidding, but I think what I’m proposing will work. The link to my website is in my signature below.

I really hope that some of you will seize the opportunity to own one or more of my paintings, and at the same time provide some help to innocent people in unimaginable suffering at the hands of foreign aggression.

The auction closing date is April 21st.

Thank you for reading this, and hoping to hear from you soon.

No.10

So I think I have this right that the semi will be Palace's 10th appearance at Wembley.

1988 - Centenary Cup
1990 - FA Cup Final
1990 - FA Cup Final replay
1991 - ZDS Cup Final
1996 - Play-off final
1997 - Play-off final
2013 - Play-off final
2016 - FA Cup semi
2016 - FA Cup Final

2022 - FA Cup semi

Who is (assuming they get their ticket) on course to make it number 10 next month?

Favourite is still 1990 Cup Final, when the players came out and when the balloons were released, and oh so close........

Best way to get to Wembley

Have a trial run for the Semi-Final tonight as we are going to the Ivory Coast game!

My issue is that every time I got to Wembley I am never sure of the best route.

I will be going from Raynes Park...

My initial feeling was to go Waterloo and then on the Bakerloo to Wembley Central.

TFL tells me to from Raynes Park to Clapham Junction then London Overground to Willesden Junction Rail Station then London Overground to Wembley Central Rail Station....

But unfamiliar using the Overground - Any thoughts or advice ?

Will Smith punches Chris Rock at the Oscar’s

Smith just walked on stage and punched Chris Rock for making a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith. Then went back to his seat screaming “keep my wife’s name out ya ******* mouth”

Surreal

Where to follow international football

What's your go-to site for following international football? Just googling the AFCON, CONMEBOL and CONCACAF results in a bunch of garbage.

Sorry if it's a dumb question, any suggestions are welcome.

MLB the Show

samedi 26 mars 2022

Anyone else play the MLB the Show games on here? It is pretty much all that I played for most of 2021 and there one comes out next week. Find it a lot easier to pick up and play than FIFA etc, and I much much prefer Diamond Dynasty to crap like Ultimate Teams (and whatever the rubbish PES one was called), it is actually fun, and the challenges are decent.

Discussion: Who is this years Eze/Olise?

At the risk of sounding like I’m blagging after the event, the one player I wanted to sign the most from the Championship in summer 2020 was Eberechi Eze. The player I most wanted in Summer 2021 was Michael Olise. Both have proved to be incredible, exciting signings.

Who is the standout young star of the championship we should be looking at in Summer of 2022?

Not sure personally, but maybe Djed Spence from Forest/Boro? Or will he go higher up?

RIP Taylor Hawkins:(

Taylor Hawkins found dead in his hotel room an hour before going on stage:(

Is this our best era ever?

vendredi 25 mars 2022

I started going to Palace in 91/92 and so missed the Wright/Bright era, third place, and the FA Cup final. My first years were exciting in that we yo-yoed up & down a lot, but throughout my years supporting Palace I always felt I missed out on our best days, and was sure we’d never repeat those highs.

However, we are looking likely to comfortably survive & see a 10th successive year of top flight football, we’re at Wembley got the 4th time in a decade, the academy has been totally revamped, the team is fully of young exciting talent, we have 3 players in the England squad (albeit one is a loan player), we still have our talisman and arguably greatest ever player in the side, we have a progressive manager playing nice football.

So whilst I sit in the glorious sunshine reading about the FA Cup semi final details, dreaming of upsetting the odds, my question to the BBS is- is this the best we’ve ever had it as Palace fans?

Interested particularly in hearing from those that witnessed the Coppell era, the team of the 80s or anything else that could compare.

The Transgender thread (Split thread).

Dunno feel it's unfair, have Transgender games ;)

I'll "have a go at Perce" (what's with the familiar name, you two got something going? ;)) because it's plain ignorant bigotry. As is what you have written there.

I'd suggest To view the link you have to Register or Login and recognise that the manufactured moral panic over trans athletes is *exactly* the same as the manufactured moral panics over CRT (banning teaching children that racism exists and is systemic, and slavery was bad) and activism for gay rights (see Big Blue's link a few posts back). The common context and goal here is regressivism: there's a natural order of the world which has white, straight, Christian, "male" men at the top of the hierarchy of "real" Americans, and the pursuit of equality, be that race, sexuality, gender is antithetical to this natural order - so much so that books have to be banned by law, rape victims punished by death if they seek an abortion, gay, trans, black people persecuted by law so they are crystal clear on their place well down the pecking order.

It's your right to subscribe to such views if you so wish, but have your eyes open that it's not actually about a moderately good swimmer winning some races, it's about imposing inequality and crushing democracy which is incompatible with the "freedom" of these people to impose their superiority onto others.

Dull question about GAP Insurance...

I'm getting a new VW on PCP and the dealer is trying to sell me GAP Insurance, paint protection and Alloy wheel protection. Is this a bit like the holiday car rental people trying to sell you insurance at the front desk, or should I get it?

Advice appreciated :p

Are Palace one game from European football?

If we pull off a shock against Chelsea, we'll be up against Liverpool or Man City in the cup final, both of whom will be playing in the Champions League again next season. Does this mean we'd qualify for the Europa League even as FA Cup runners-up?

Speculation: Tyrick Mitchell - Summer 2022.

mercredi 23 mars 2022

Was always going to happen.

Before people say "It's The Sun", Tom Barclay knows his stuff.

Quote:

Manchester City are monitoring the progress of England newbie Tyrick Mitchell.

The left-back, 22, has had a stellar season at Crystal Palace and was rewarded by a late call-up to Gareth Southgate’s senior side on Monday as a replacement for the injured Reece James.

He has missed just EIGHT minutes of Premier League action since May last year and is second only to Brentford’s Christian Norgaard for most top-flight tackles this term.

City are in the market for a new left-back and are keeping track of the youngster’s progress, as are Chelsea, Newcastle and Tottenham.

Stratford Sphere

For some insane reason got local planning permission by the London Legacy Development Corporation despite them receiving objections from MP's, residents, TfL, Network Rail, AEG who own The O2, West Ham, Police and Historic England.

For those unaware it is a new 21,500 indoor arena which will use part of the old coach station that was used for the 2012 Olympics. Less than 5 miles away from The O2 it will be a 90m tall concert hall/auditorium featuring a 19,000 x 13,500 pixel resolution LED screen.

London Aquatics Centre

Breaking news from BBC and Sky that a number of people are being treated for breathing difficulties after "a gas release" at the Centre.

From Sky News:

"Emergency services are responding to a "major incident" at London Aquatics Centre in Stratford and are treating "a number of patients". The London Ambulance Service confirmed they were working alongside the London Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police at the scene.

Videos circulating on social media showed several ambulances rushing to the scene. The London Fire Brigade said they were dealing with reports of "a chemical incident" at the centre on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

In a Tweet, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park wrote: "There has been an incident at @AquaticsCentre this morning involving the release of a gas. "The area has been cordoned off and evacuated. We're working with emergency services on site. "There are a number of casualties with breathing difficulties being treated by @Ldn_Ambulance.""

Drink before SF

Where will everyone be before the game?

Never been a fan of The Globe and it is certainly a Chelsea preferred venue.

What was Covent Garden like last time?

My lot have used the North London Tavern in Kilburn a few times which has been good bar the Manc final where we found out it was their lucky pub and were outnumbered 8 to 500! Like Rorke’s Drift.

Suggested Team and Formation For: Arsenal (H) 04/04/22

A bit early, but I’m desperate to see what GF has to say! :D

Barring no injuries, assuming all injuries are back, I’d be starting the same team, with Vicente back in.

Guaita
Clyne - Andersen - Guehi - Mitchell
Kouyate
Gallagher - Eze
Olise - Mateta - Zaha

Butland, Ward, Tomkins, Milivojevic, McArthur, Schlupp, Ayew, Edouard, Benteke

Mike Dean retiring at the end of the season to become full time VAR assistant. The one good referee gone.

Match Ticket Information: When do tickets for Watford (H) go on sale?

Looking to book airplane, hotel, etc, but minor detail, I need to make sure I can get tickets to Palace first.

Sat 7th May Watford

Would anyone else agree this would be perfect for Palace to arrange a display for Roy for this game?

Palace are in this amazing position in no small part to him and it would be something that I would imagine would be well received.

I would happily contribute.

South London in the XI

After seeing all of the reaction to yesterday's win, one of the more subtle aspects of the team was the South London representation in our starting XI.

To have three academy boys playing in a PL side getting to Wembley is a great moment as a fan. And also a mention to Eze, Gallagher and Guehi who also have ties to the area.

It's great to see the club finding the huge amount of talent on our doorstep. Long may it continue!

Are we still a “selling” club?

At the risk of being a bit “NSC-ish” -

I’ve thought about this a bit provoked by a number of posts on Olise, Mitchell, Eze, Guehi etc, being only here for a year or two before being sold, plus some talking about a buy young, sell high strategy, and I’m not sure it’s really correct going forward.

There are two levels of selling club - those who lose players to mid table maybe established teams like Villa (Watkins, Buendia, Mings come to mind there) and those who lose them to CL clubs - Leicester with Mahrez and Maguire for example. The threads on Mitchell and co seem to assume we are in the first group, but I just don’t see it anymore

Of course, if City, Utd, Liverpool or any regular CL qualifying team come in, you would struggle to keep any player, like AWB and Utd. But teams outside that group? Every window some of our players were linked with Villa or WHU, etc etc, but I just don’t see that happening right now - although the longer term future is never certain. We will soon start our 10th year in the PL, have a manager that players clearly want to play for, have a Wembley date booked (3 in recent years actually), have players getting selected for England - all that surely takes clubs around us in the table out of the equation for transfers (unless they want to offer £50-60m for someone which is highly unlikely).

Of course financial wild cards like Newcastle can crop up - but they have massive work to do before they regularly (if ever) compete at the top. In reality though, I think the days of Everton or Villa or whoever being more attractive than little old Palace are gone for a while. Never for good of course, but I do think our current trajectory is one where our best talents stay unless Pep, Juergen etc come to call.

Wilfs goal-an optical illusion

dimanche 20 mars 2022

I could have sworn Michael Olise shot missed by miles and went out for a goal kick like his previous effort. I then must have looked away for a second and all of a sudden i heard the commentators voice raise saying Wilf had scored and I was literally in a weird and confused state for a few seconds before I burst out laughing

Anybody else?

Also i was so happy we made Fat Frank squirm so much, ungracious classless twit

Biggest FA Cup win against top flight opposition since ?

One for the historians.

I know we beat Everton 6-0 in 1922 (no I don't remember it personally).

Was today's our biggest FA Cup win against top flight opposition since then?

Tom Barnett R.I.P.

The club was informed yesterday that sadly former player Tom Barnett passed away on Tuesday 15th March aged 85.

Tom joined Palace from Chatham towards the end of 1958 and made his debut in March 1959.

Tom mainly played as a second bow to our forwards over three seasons,
totalling 15 appearances and two goals but featuring regularly with the Reserves. Tom played in the final seven games of our promotion season 1960-61 and scored the winning goal at home to Aldershot in April 1961 that secured our place to move up to Division Three.

At the end of that campaign he left Palace for Margate and then to Romford where he became a legend. Later he managed non-league clubs before becoming landlord at a pub in Sawbridgeworth.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time.

Anybody order food to their seat v City?

Some chap in The Whitehorse ordered a bag of food to be delivered to his seat about twenty minutes in on Monday night.

The poor delivery man in an orange beanie couldn’t work out where to deliver them so spent two minutes blocking peoples view of the game.

I mean, food deliveries at the game. What are we, fatty Americans?

This is an abomination.

Gardening

Any budding Titchmarshes or Dimmocks lingering on the boards?

We moved into a house last year which a north facing front 'garden'. I say garden. It's a very poorly laid piece of astroturf roughly 7x3 metres and with weeds growing up through it, cat shit a plenty and a drain cover in the middle with a dead pot plant on top.

My plan is to rip up the astro, pull up all weeds, rake over the soil, sprinkle a bit of fertiliser down, cover it with membrane, then gravel the lot of it, with plants and shrubs of various heights and types and colours planted about.

Trouble is I don't really know what I'm doing. Especially when it comes to the actual plants. I reckon I can make a good go of the membrane and gravel bit- how hard can it be?

Talk to me BBS experts. What are good plants and shrubs for a shady north facing garden?

TIA

What’s happened to the pitch?

I know we have issues along the AW side but it’s pretty poor now and at Chelsea and Burnley seemed horribly bobbly and bumpy?

Ward coming back in would be the only change I’d make.

Difficult to come up with a bench when we’re unsure who’s available. Hopefully Luka, McArthur and/or Hughes are back because we need cover in midfield.

I don’t think we should be starting Butland in the cup going forward, best team only, no time for sentiment. Butland has had plenty of games in the league while Guaita was injured.

Ukranian refugees

Wasn't sure whether to put this in politics or general chit chat. I hope that this thread doesn't become too political!

Are any of your considering to take in a Ukrainian refugee (or 2 or 3 or 4 depending on if they want to come here as a family) ?

I'm not sure if the rule is still only allowing people with family here to claim refugee status - I hope / think it may have changed but not 100%?

I'd like to take a refugee but from my POV, it's just not practical in my 2 bed room. I'd be more than happy for 1 person to sleep on my sofa but my ''application'' would probably get rejected as soon as I say there isn't a bedroom!

Keen to hear others thoughts. Benedict Cumberbatch and Grant Shapps are participating!

Anyone know how many bookings Connor has clocked up? He seems to be carded almost every match! Is he close to a suspension ? It would be a great shame if he were to miss games in the run in, or the cup.

Next Season’s kit and new kit manufacturer

So we’re getting to that time of year where we start to speculate about what next season’s kits will look like?
I believe that our tenure with Puma expires in May, I have heard rumours that NB (New Balance) will be next season’s kit supplier has anyone else heard this or different?

So what do you want in terms of next seasons kits?
I personally would like us to go back to an all white home kit with either red n blue sash or red n blue vertical stripes - sky blue away kit and evil sash 3rd kit.

I saw Neil Danns score today

samedi 12 mars 2022

A very enjoyable afternoon at Macclesfield FC today. I didn't realise when we set off to see my mates grandson play for Ashton Athletic at Macclesfield that history would be made. It transpired that victory for Macclesfield would see them promoted as champions in front of a record 4,630 fans for a fifth tier non-league match. In the first half Ashton soaked up a lot of pressure and it seemed we were heading for a goaless first half, indeed the board had gone up for three minutes injury time. Cue Neil Danns breaking the deadlock. It came from from a rare attack down the left hand side with my mates grandson, 16-year-old Regan Brown down injured, he had kept Maccs leading scorer James Berry-McNally quiet up until that point having given him a reducer midway through the first half. As it was a low cross into the area was met by Danns to put Macc 1-0 up just before the whistle. Unfortunately Regan could take no further part and was subbed just before half time, receiving a hug from Robbie Savage as he left the pitch. The second half was a one way afair with Macc winning 4-0 to secure the title. They have an excellent set up there which is geared for far higher echelons of the football pyramid, many EFL clubs would be envious. Special note for Robbie Savage, Regans' mum got a selfie with Robbie after the match and mentioned that he had hugged her son at half time, he said "Regan had a really good game", I'm impressed that he knew the name of a teenager from the opposition, maybe he met him before the match or they do their research on the opposition to the nth degree.

Eurovision 2022 Thread (The year UK finally turns up)

For years, the rhetoric has been that UK do poorly at Eurovision because 'it's political'.

Legit Eurovision fans know otherwise - its because UK sends poor/unmemorable songs nearly every year.

When UK bother to make an effort, the results show the Euro public will respond favourably (2009 & 2011 being the two examples from the last 20 years)

FINALLY, the powers that be have given us a good song, a decent music video and got Tik Tok star Sam Ryder representing the country with a song that's catchy and memorable. It's not for everyone, that's fine. The way the scoring is set up, being 'OK' doesn't cut it - it needs to be a love it or hate it song to actualy get people picking up the phone and voting. UK's last 4 or 5 songs have been perfectly inoffensive and 'radio friendly' but have finished nowhere, including a couple of last places in there as well.

For the first time since 2011 I'm choosing to listen to the UK entry on Alexa/Youtube etc. It's quality.

Not saying we'll win but for the first time since Blue in 2011, I think we MIGHT and that's a massive improvement.

Your 'Letter of Last Resort'

So it's a fairly well known fact that each Prime Minister is asked to provide a 'letter of last resort' to our always at sea Nuclear Sub in the event of a war in which the gov is wiped out.

The options open to them are:

1) Retaliate with nuclear weapons;
2) not retaliate;
3) use their own judgement,
4) place the submarine under an allied country's command (first options being the United States or Australia apparently)

Given where we are feels kind of topical to ask.

So which letter would you write? Also out of interest what do most feel that Boris has gone with?

Forgot to bother with a poll, if a mod wants to add then up to them!

Discussion: Chelsea Academy

jeudi 10 mars 2022

Aside from the politics, whilst Chelsea’s current sanctioning may make signing Conor nigh on impossible (already far out of reach imho), there must be a number of young players in the academy which are out of contract at the end of the season?

In my opinion, we should start identifying some of their young talent we can go after.

In essence, we target getting the next Conor Gallagher in early.

We have several benefits we can offer:

- geographical location means less upheaval for players / family
- top class academy site
- route to first team & coach that will blood in youngsters
- references from Gallagher, guehi, RLC etc about the culture and ethos at Palace must help

Any suggestions for who we should be targeting ?

Go get ‘em dougie !

Volunteering as a medic in the Ukraine-Any ideas?

Hi

Putting this out in the hope that someone may know someone or an organisation.

Looking to get out to Ukraine or at least the Polish border to volunteer as a medic (I currently work as a nurse) but have been coming up against brick walls for the last several days.

The major charities like the British Red Cross are not currently sending anyone out and it takes ages to go through the vetting process. I've seen a few news items with at least one Manchester based charity sending out a few volunteers but nothing else.

I'm sure there are others like me, with a medical background, offering our assistance but can't find anything organised.

Just trying to put my skills to good use.

Thanks

Don’t want to piss on what was a great win, and maybe I’ve missed the punchline, but has anyone ever seen shit like this before?

Plastered on seats and hoarding in the away end today. We appear to be attracting a particularly vile group of individuals at the moment.

If I wanted to buy tickets for my son and I (both members), but where you can only buy 1 ticket per membership, how do I buy his ticket at the same time so we get the 2 tickets together?

We are both linked on the system in the F&F section. I do also realise that as he has fewer points than me, I can't get the tickets until we're at the phase where his points qualify.

Looked at the FAQ on the club site but couldn't find the answer there.

Fruit Machines - Curiousity Question

Just seen the landlord at my local turn the machine into some kind of safe mode and dump coin after coin into the fruit machine before turning it back to normal mode...

Just found it a real curiosity.

Anyone have any idea what this is all about?

Everton (h) FA Cup QF Sunday 20th March (date not officially confirmed)

Everton have a game on Thursday 17th and an international break starts on Monday 21st, so it looks fairly certain that this will be on the Sunday.

Libor Scandal

Hope some of you will take a listen to this from both sides of the political divide. There are 3 sections 13 mins each. A friend of mine was accused of libor manipulation and extradited to the US. His was found guilty and while awaiting sentence the case collapsed. Anyway his life was ruined. Spent all he had defending himself lost his house and nearly his marriage.
Please give this a listen as it is truly shocking.

Excel question

Dear BBSers

Can someone that knows be so kind to help me with an answer to how to formulate something in excel.

I want in one cell to be able to ask multiple IF questions. I am able to do this as one IF but I have to do multiple exchange rate ie USD, EUR, YEN etc, and I am mixing this with a VLOOKUP. I can do them as one statement ie =IF cell number = "USD", VLOOKUP....... but need to add a second and third statement to find EUR & YEN.

Does anyone know?

Thanks in advance.

Season Tickets 2022/23

Looks like the ability is there to renew now on the website - whether it works or not I don't know (assuming no based on the Box Office incompetence)

Has anyone moved their season ticket recently? What's the process to do it? Do you need to call the Box Office ? :frown:

Crystal Ball: vs. Wolves (a)

FA Cup Quarter Final record

We’ve made it again!

This will be only our 8th post war appearance in the last eight of the competition.

1965 Leeds……………..0-3
1976 Sunderland…….1-0
1982. QPR………….…….0-1
1990. Cambridge U….1-0
1995. Wolves……………4-1 (replay)
2016. Reading…………2-0
2019. Watford………….1-2
2022. ?

Pre war we made it to the Quarters in 1907, losing 4-0 to Everton.

And if you are an 1861 believer, then we also made it in the very first FA Cup competition in 1872, where we drew against Wanderers at Clapham Common. Both sides were given a bye to the semi final. ????

And that concludes the statistics on Crystal Palace’s FA Cup Quarter Final history.

Suggested Team and Formation For: Wolves (A) 5/3

mardi 1 mars 2022

Guaita
Ward - Andersen - Guehi - Mitchell
Kouyate
Gallagher - McArthur
Olise - Benteke - Zaha

Butland, Clyne, Kelly, Milivojevic, Hughes, Schlupp, Ayew, Edouard, Mateta

If Ward is back fit, get him in. Guaita back in. Not often that a 3 minute cameo gets you a start in the next game but I think Benteke has done it! Let’s give him another chance.

If Ward comes back fit then we do struggle to fit players on the bench, if Vieira isn’t going to use Eze, then it’s a wasted place. Riedewald got the goal as well, does he have a place on the bench?

I imagine we’ll have loads of different opinions in this thread. Wolves will be a very tough game, very good side.

Professional Printing - international delivery

Been a while since I’ve posted anything like this on the BBS but I’m certain there was someone on here who could help with professional printing. I basically need to get 2,500 stickers, 500 coasters and 10 roll banners printed but distributed in pretty much equal measure to 5 different countries. And I need them there in the next 10 days. One location is the US the rest in Europe including the UK.

Anyone able to help.

Time to get the emails going again

Tayo Adaramola

Feel like he deserves a thread of his own.

Well done Tayo! The first of many.
What a luxury to have x2 LBs of his and Mitchell's quality.

Rumour: Dani Ceballos

Spanish newspaper claiming we're looking to offer €18m+ to RM for Ceballos.

He's 25 now and hasn't started a game for them this season.

Seems pretty speculative and unlikely, but it's the area of the park we'll need bodies in for next season.
