If anyone knows anything about shower pumps can you help?
We've just moved house. Previous owner wrote us a note which said that you have to turn on the shower pump at a switch on the landing, but you can't do it until the water is running. And then you need to switch it off on the landing before switching the water off, in case the pump motor burns out.
1- Is this true? Or is he being overcautious?
2- any way I can tell?
3- shouldn't it be wired to turn on when the water turns on? Is it incorrectly installed, and if so, should I get someone out to look at it?
Thanks!!!
