Old gits like me bang on about how cars and pop music were better in our youth.
But Christmas tree lights used to be monumentally inefficient, expensive and shit. Fiddling about with them for hours to make 20 (yes twenty) crappy lights come on.
Now, for 20 quid, I can get a thousand of the sods. Light up immediately. No useless tools for replacing dead bulbs. If they fail just chuck and replace.
