So the speeches were all about uniting the country and bringing us all together after the last couple of years.
So what the hell is this desire to 'celebrate' Brexit by sounding Big Ben on January 31st? How will that make the 48% plus of the country who don't want to leave? Isn't it just brash and nasty triumphalism?
What's the precedent? When Johnson gets thrown out of office can we ask for Big Ben to sound? Better still, when Mark Francois kicks the bucket can we get all of the bells in the country to peal?
