Hi all
I hope you don't mind me posting on here.
Around 2 weeks ago I created a twitter page called 'InOnTen' after reading multiple tweets regarding the need for an organised, meaningful but peaceful protest against the use of VAR in the Premier League. Many people stated that they would be willing to participate in a realistic protest however there was a need for an exact protest idea and dates for such a protest to be communicated to each fanbase.
The account is advocating the idea that fans enter the stadiums of all Premier League matches in the 10th minute on the weekend of the 22nd February. That weekend, Palace host Newcastle. Palace fans do seem generally anti-VAR and some have responded to the twitter page. Anti-VAR chants can often be heard when viewing Burnley on TV/MOTD, aswell as some good displays by the Holmesdale Fanatics. I am therefore hoping that Palace fans will play a big part in the protest.
I was wondering what the general feeling is among the Palace fanbase would be regarding this idea, and if people on this forum would be willing to participate. Also, if are there any other forums, twitter pages or fan groups who I should speak to, or you would be happy to speak to regarding this idea in order to raise awareness among the Palace fanbase. It is the easy thing to do to say Not enough people will do it, or It wont work but as fans we have to come together, get as many active fan groups involved as possible, and a meaningful protest is more than possible.
All the best,
InOnTen
