The drop ball

There was a drop ball in the middle of the pitch. No Bournemouth player did anything so Luka(probably cheekily) passed it back to Dann(I think). Bournemouth players lose their shit and want to kick off. Ref then stops play, drops the ball again and the Bournemouth twit kicks it to the exact same place Luka did, just 20 yards further

A) why did Bournemouth get so wound up when they just stood there during the first drop ball

B) what right did Friend have to stop the game and do it again. As far as I’m aware no rules were broken
