On the (first but not last) Remy injury thread someone posted 'Clinton hurt his shoulder'. Being an old timer I lol'd a bit but it got me thinking how many players are deemed worthy of being called by their first names ?
I loved Clinton when he was here, he wasn't the greatest but he felt like a 100% Palace sort of player in a way that better players since haven't.
Off the top of my head I can't think of too many others that have that honour, of the current batch you could probably stretch to Jules and Wilf but Cabaye is always Cabaye, Wickham is never 'Connor' etc.
Is there any correlation to 'how Palace' a player is and them being called by their first name or is it more straight forward than that ?
