Managers we 'dodged'

The big Sam posts got me thinking of managers who we were strongly linked with but didn't come and we dodged a bullet.

There are a few obvious ones but the one that springs to mind right now is Craig Brown, who nearly got the big job under Jordan.

I'm sure there are worse, hit me with them.
