Sad news. Peter Stanley, aka 'Palace Pete' or 'Pete the Pedlar' (he held a street pedlars license), passed away last Thursday.
He was a well known figure in and around Upper Norwood and Penge and was a lovely bloke, old school in every sense. A lifelong Palace fan and was an A.W. ST holder who never missed a home game. He 'traded' everything, from Palace memorabilia to tobacco, if he didn't have something you wanted, he'd get it for you.
You could find Pete at his stall in Haynes Lane market every Saturday but by 1:30 no matter how good trade was, he was off on his way down to the match. Another character gone. R.I.P
