The general worldwide consensus is that this was a genocide, even Hitler referred to it. 'Who remembers the Armenian today' as a means of saying the world would not care in the future about what he intended to do to the Jews.
Well done German MPs for just now joining other leading nations in recognising that it was a genocide, and that it takes Turkey a step forward to apologising for their actions 100 years ago. Once done everyone can move on and bridges built. This wont go away until they do.
