Plastic the fallacy

lundi 8 juin 2015

It seems in these boards if you state an opinion which seems objectionable you are called a plastic. Saying a player is not good for the side or changing the stadium, essentially purposing improvements to the club. This has not been a new thing, debating improvements but the easiest way to shout an argument down and suggest that you are not a 'real' fan is to use this term.

To spin the argument round, surely we need 'plastics' to grow as a club, as this may become a lifetime support what ever division. I started supporting Palace in 95 when we were in the Premiership and have followed since, my brother made me pick a team from the Panani sticker album and I picked Palace, if they hadnt been in there (only Premiership teams) maybe I wouldnt have. Yes they may fall away when if we are relegated but are essential to growth.

Change is inevitable and maybe people fear change. No one owns the club or should be told how to enjoy it ("I watched Palace play xxx away in 19xx and we lost 5-nil in Div 7, thats proves im true Palace") you are here now, if you want diehard football support a non league club, armt we all Plastics for supporting a club in the top four divisions?

This is all redundant however as the term is only used when someone hasnt got an arguement or can't articulate it so thus say this term to sweep another point of view under the carpet.
