Been putting this off but it has to happen in the next half year now. Heard a lot of horror stories about the renewal process and the time it can take so my request to the good ship BBS is to what the smoothest way to renew a passport as an expat is? Right now am considering flying to Durham for the day and getting it done in person, and paying a handsome price for the peace of mind. Is it worth trusting the system if you are a frequent traveller? Any tips appreciated :)
