Driving home today there was a piece on National Public Radio (NPR) here in the US about an Indian guy in Florida who wanted to go back to India to retire, but as all his kids, grandkids etc were in The US he could not bring himself to do it.
His solution was to build a gated Indian community where all the residence were Indian, built restaurants and movie houses showing Bollywood etc.
Seems like it all worked out and has over 100 permanent residence of Indian persuasion.
My point is, could I live in an “English” community? Hell no… I find this one reason Brits are more accepted here in The US… we mingle, inter marry etc.
Now Brits in Spain – that might be a different story.
