I'd been thinking of mentioning this guy as a possible replacement at LB, but seemingly, the Mirror has beaten me to the punch. He's a top quality left back, previously highly rated at Lyon, and he's been a steady performer for Nice for the last two seasons. I'm sure kabbot would be able to better fill us in, but he seems a very good player. He's also been previously linked with Manchester United and Southampton, so that couldn't hurt.

One thing going in his favour, he's 6'1", which only helps when speaking of Tony Pulis and his preferences in fullbacks. Also worth a mention that Iain Moody is fluent in French and we've been linked with a handful of players from the continent, though none have joined as of yet.

One other player from France who could be worth a look is defensive midfielder and Kolo's future teammate on the Polish national team when he finally gets called up, Grzegorz Krychowiak, who is one of the better defensive midfielders in Ligue 1, and also plays at a small club at Stade de Reims.
