Pivotal Moment in Palace's History

vendredi 2 mai 2014

An observation from interviews with Pulis is that Sir Alex Ferguson said the Palace job was good to take as a) having little downside at the time, b) we have a good youth academy, c) we have great support.

Comments from Mourinho are that we have "fantastic, fantastic support", and the Palace v Chelsea game was a "real match", which caused him to go to our dressing room and congratulate the players.

We have a manager that has pretty much achieved the impossible and taken a floundering team to a comfortable (in the end) finishing position. He also has a tried and tested model of sustainable success with a "medium sized" club with passionate fans. Improvements of the stadium, training facilities etc etc are all part of the model.

A huge worldwide TV audience will see what an incredible atmosphere it will be on Monday, if we can get a positive result (which includes a draw) I think it could be huge for us. Pulis could get manager of the year, with the media and future signings recognising the achievements of the season and the potential for years to come.

We have local owners, a down to earth manager and local fans which will mean that we retain our identity.

Basically, CPFC2010 must and will back Pulis (they have made the right choice on just about everything else so far), and we are about to go from strength to strength.
