Without a shower or bath for next two weeks

Just wondering why there are no 50p community showers in high streets like there are with toilets. I really could do with one.

Positive Palace News

There's a lot of threads full of complaints, and I like a good moan as much as anyone. So I thought I'd share some recent positives from the Palace experience, and invite others to do the same.

There's an old man (90+) called Les who comes to most home games, and the steward who looks after that area is great with him, making sure he's got a seat on the end of a row and coming to fetch and help him down the stairs when he leaves on 75-80 minutes.

His mind is sharp as a tack but he can barely move, so he has to leave early to get a head start on the crowds. He was absolutely loving it on Saturday when we were 4-1 up and he could go home (fairly) safe in the knowledge we were going to win. You get the impression he can't believe his luck that he's seeing a Palace team as good as this one.

The Palace matchday staff members in suits are also great with him, bringing him a cup of tea at half-time and a blanket before the game on Saturday.

The steward went one further on Saturday, paying special attention to my girlfriend's 5-year-old sister. She also got a blanket, he sat down and had a chat with her and also gave her one of the 'Eaglet' kids programmes for free. Just after half-time, he brought Pete and Alice up to have pictures taken with all the kids in the block. At her age she still doesn't really understand what's happening on the field, except when a goal goes in, so all the off-field stuff like the Crystals, Kayla, Pete & Alice, and friendly stewards make all the difference.

Why don't we have any religious threads anymore? Everything is so political these day

s and they were quite good fun until someone mentioned Dawkins and the humanists pound the life out of everything. Have we lost our soul/s? On the BBS and generally, and also individually. When did you last experience wonder? Who on earth do you think you are anyway? Or are you one of those who is happy with a warm bath, whisky and some nice tits (or a good pair of balls I suppose if you are a lass, unless you are lesbian in which case delete balls and revert to tits and best of British to you). Anyway back on topic what I am saying is what? What indeed, and that's the point isn't it?

Though that Jesus stuff isn't for me so Jesus = off topic. Also no Corbyn or IS. Or Royal family. Or Russia (except religion of).

Oh I don't know. I just thought it might be interesting but now I'm not so confident this all hangs together. Sorry.

Arsenal’s mountain of injuries – could the Gulliver Theory be to blame?

Following more injuries at Arsenal, the Gulliver Theory has been sounded out as a potential cause, In a nutshell, the theory is that smaller players who play intricate football have to stretch more and play to their limits in order to walk the ball into the net, thus putting themselves at more risk.

This is a compelling argument, and with Arsenal sitting second in the injury table, behind Bournemouth in first with 11 injuries, you can see the logic.

However, Swansea, also lauded for their ‘Arsenalesque’ style and approach, are bottom on the table, with no injuries in their squad.
