Deloitte has published their annual report on the highest revenue generating football clubs in the world. The figures represent the year end 2023 accounts.
Real Madrid has taken top spot from Manchester City. In all here are 8 Premier League clubs in the top 20 with West Ham and Newcastle added to the usual suspects. Both Leicester and Leeds have dropped out from last year.
6 clubs fill position 21 to 30; Villa, Brighton, Fulham, Leeds (although they will presumabkly drop out next year following their relegation), Palace and Everton. We have dropped 2 places to 28th.
The only Premier League clubs not in the top 30 are Wolves, Bournemouth, Brentford, Nottingham Forest, Luton, Burnley and Sheffield United.
All the revenues are in euros but based on the exchange rates used our revenues / turnover for 2023 should be c£180m. This is an impressive £20m increase on 2022. Let's hope expenditure has not risen that much.
