We have booked an apartment with Airbnb for a few days next week but have now received (through Airbnb messaging) a separate contract to be signed from an organisation called 'Booked Directly'.
The T&Cs are pretty much what I would expect and do not seem particularly onerous except that it makes it clear that the contract will be between me and the person who is the Airbnb 'host' but there is no mention of Airbnb (to where I have paid the full cost) therefore it seems to bypass the organisation and, presumably, any 'protection' that using them might bring.
I don't know what the legal status is between me, Airbnb and the 'host' or whether signing a separate contact jeopardises my position but if anyone can shed any light on this situation it would be appreciated.
