Your favourite ‘Typical Palace’ examples

After Connor Gallagher’s first goal for Chelsea inevitably coming in a last minute winner against us; just thought it would be good to document our favourite ‘typical Palace’ moments.

I’ll start…

1983/84 season. Division 2. Sheffield Wednesday get to the end of November unbeaten in the league in a 15 game run. Was creating big national interest in the football world as everyone wondered who would be the first team to topple Howard Wilkinson’s Wednesday.

Game 16 for the runaway leaders was at Selhurst against Palace, and have to say, despite being relegation candidates, most of us had an inkling we could pull it off, and so it proved. A David Giles diving header securing a famous win and one of the few good memories under Mullery’s stewardship.

The following Saturday, we played rock bottom Swansea who had only managed one win in their first 16 games. Final score: Swansea 1 Palace 0.

TYPICAL PALACE!!!
