Looks likely we’ll go without a game from 3 September to 1 October.
Pros: more time to do some quality work on the training field and work on shape and other things; fewer matches to wait until the transfer window opens; longer for our injured players to recover their fitness.
Cons: no chance of rearranging this side of the World Cup/Christmas, so there will be some congestion in 2023, especially if we do well in the cup competitions; any momentum or form certain players were finding may be lost.
