I think Chile may have unwittingly opened a window for Italy to go to Qatar.
They have appealed to FIFA over Ecuador fielding a supposed Colombian in all their qualifiers.
Naively thinking that the table will be rearranged.
FIFA could throw out Ecuador...but they could chose to replace them with the highest team in the rankings...or even send Ukraine.
