If only this was taught to more young people and and given airtime within establishment media, instead of the usual ideological programming and untruths being disseminated by the continuing march through our institutions by an extreme, Leftist culture of division, revisionism, hatred and madness.
Too many people fail to understand why the glaring contradictions and double standards exist within Leftist narratives, which require them to utilize control systems such as shaming, cancelling, doxing, rioting and lying in order to enforce conformity upon those who can't be intellectually captured by dogma, a cultish insistence on obedience and a personal need to consider ( and declare ) themselves morally superior. As this video demonstrates, it comes from a uneasy confluence of Marxism and Postmodernism. It is brilliantly explained here how a genuine attempt to bring about a better, more sophisticated and caring world, via sane levels of 'Political Correctness,' has been hijacked and warped into an intellectual tyranny that wants to tear down pretty much the entire fruit of The Enlightenment and damns and destroys even the well-meaning and moderate dissenters that it cannot persuade or cow.
There's a lot to unpack in this video, as to the genesis and pathology of the modern PC / Identity Politics / Outrage Culture / Marxist hodgepodge that has driven the Left insane and made it something I can no longer stand beside. However, the best bit for those too busy to watch, is from about 15.58 to around 18.36, when Peterson relates how Nietzsche foresaw, more than 150 years ago, the level of hatred, revenging and historical revisionism that is sweeping through the West right now, with a clear Scorched Earth, take-no-prisoners policy; the kind of thinking which led to the cultural and population purges that destroyed tens of millions in the U.S.S.R., China and Cambodia. ( something that those radicals and Marxists have excuses for, when they aren't screaming 'Nazi' as a supposed rebuttal )
This video is for people who still have the courage and desire to think and won't be bullied into conformity. Hopefully a few sitting on the intellectual fence will find something in it. I just wanted to advertise this discussion video. I won't be commenting on this thread and certainly not replying to whatever, Ad Hominem garbage that inevitably gets thrown back by certain people, in lieu of having any real, objective intellectual leg to stand on ( or facts ) to justify their politics. I've come to accept the wise words of Thomas Sowell ( yeah -he's black so is clearly an Uncle Tom ) when it comes to the futility of trying to reach the captured and arrogant minds of SJWs; “It is usually futile to try to talk facts and analysis to people who are enjoying a sense of moral superiority in their ignorance.”
