Just in case any of the scouts or management at Palace ever have a look in these pages (I doubt it, but you never know.....)
As both a fan of Valencia CF and Crystal Palace, I have long admired our Argentinian central defender Ezequiel Garay.
Firstly, here's some of his defending (and goals) from 2016-2017 at Valencia:
He will be available for free as from tomorrow (I know Benfica want him but no offer has been made official). His contract is not being renewed, mainly because he has been very outspoken against Valencia's management. When the coach that won Valencia the Copa del Rey and got us into the Champions League two seasons in a row, Marcelino, was unceremoniously dumped in the summer and replaced by completely untried yes-man Celades, Garay took to Twitter criticising the Chairman publicly.
Garay was instrumental last summer in the Spanish cup-final, where Valencia beat a full-strength Barcelona. Here's a little video someone made of just Garay's input into that match.
He then, a month ago, completely pilloried the Chairman and his minions on YouTube, after telling them that he did not want his contract renewed this summer. You can use Google to automatically translate the Spanish captions on this YouTube video if you use Chrome by right-clicking on the captions icon.
Tomorrow, the entire Valencia squad have been banned from his goodbye dinner he was putting together for the team (the team love Garay very much, as do the fans). The management said that this was for Covid-19 social distancing, even though the team have been training together for weeks and Garay (who already has had Covid, was the first La Liga player to catch it months ago) had promised social distancing measures.
Garay has been out injured following a knee injury sustained in a match against Celta at the start of the year. He was going to be six months out, which means he should be back to playing for next season. Since next season is likely to start later than usual, what with this season ending later than usual, there is a high likelihood that he'll be fully recovered by September.
So, a goal-scoring solid central defender, would not cost Palace anything in transfer fees, unlikely to demand huge wages because of his current injury and because he is already 33, he would be tremendous and terrifying alongside Sakho, and would partner Cahill well too. Plus, being a Spanish speaker, can maintain clear communication with Guaita too.
I would love to see him at Palace, now that it is impossible that he can remain at my "other" team, Valencia.
Did anyone else I make a donation for this? Haven't heard anything as to the results and there now seem to be another couple of similar ones on there - occurred to me that it might be a scam?
Just thinking, what with the news yesterday about potentially locking Leicester down, could our game there on Saturday be moved to a neutral venue, or is it too late for that?
Ive previously stated on here that I would no longer post, but due to recent events I feel compelled to do so.
Ive watched with incredulity and sadness over the years with football being commoditised, sanitised, corporatised and globalised but we have reached a point where the Premier League, as the very expression of hyper capitalism and globalisation has co-opted the Black Lives Matter movement and are actively pushing this to you and your children as an unquestionably good thing.
The truth is that BLM is a violent, subversive openly Marxist organisation (very well) funded by foreign interests whos aims are to undermine your society by actions such as removing/defunding your police forces, removing and changing your history and creating anarchy in your society. Its not a grassroots movement and the fundamental premise of this is that white people and white culture is fundamentally racist and needs to be destroyed. Whats more the whole thing is based on lies about blacks being targeted in the US as both the facts of the individual cases and the stats just dont add up. Go and look for yourself. What does any of this have to do with the UK anyway?
Yet despite all this we have reached a point where black lives matter is supported by every corporation, celebrity, media outlet and institution unquestionably and we have players and officials taking the knee along with our police force (just before they get beaten to a pulp). At the same time someone flies white lives matter over the Etiad and immediately loses his job along with two other member of his family. This is now a hate crime. A Cambridge professor also tweets white lives dont matter and then gets promoted. Somehow the white lives matter banner was a bigger story this week than 3 gay men getting butchered by a terrorist. Why is this?
If you are watching these events and other events going on in this country and are increasing uneasy, confused and concerned (and probably increasingly angry) about whats going on, and why everything seems to be upside down then you are right to be so. The government, the corporations, the media and every other institution are working against your interests and you need to withdraw both your support and your money. What you are seeing is the weaponisation of your own good nature and sense of fairness against your own interests. Everything that you know to be good about your society is being deconstructed.
If you dont understand why that might be you may want to you may want to do some research into things like the Frankfurt School, the Fabian Society and Common Purpose and how all these things, and more, are linked and have subversively and malevolently influenced our society over decades. None of this is conspiracy theory and all is freely available if you just look for yourself. All of this was predictable.
So the question I have for you is when are you going to stand up for yourself and your own interests (and those of your family)? This should be the single question that pre-occupies you. How much more humiliation and psychological abuse are you willing to put up with? If you open your eyes you can see it everywhere you look. In advertising, Hollywood movies on Netflix in the mass media / news you are fed. Its just a narrative that pushes you further into submission. Do you think this is going to stop or get worse? How much more difficult will it be to stand up for yourself when it does? White lives matter is now somehow a controversial statement. Think hard about that.
I will never watch another Palace game, even if its free to watch. My advice to you is stop watching Football, put your pint down, stop consuming news and culture and start paying attention to whats really going on in your own country.
Leicester could be the first British city to go into a local lockdown after a spike in coronavirus cases there in June, Home Secretary Priti Patel has confirmed as the Government is offering the council there special support.
There have reportedly been a surge of more than 600 in cases in just two weeks this month in the East Midlands city, which is home to around 340,000 people. The city had 271 Covid-19 deaths up to June 12.
Leicester could face stricter lockdown rules as soon as next week if the Covid-19 situation does not come under control, meaning it could miss out on the mass easing expected for next Saturday, when pubs are set to reopen
How will this affect there remaining home games ? with us being 1st and then shef utd and manure
Full broadcast section available now on Palace TV.
Summary from club Twitter feed...
Roy on Liverpool: It's a remarkable achievement. I think they showed the other night against us how much they deserved it. It was a deserved title this year for Liverpool Football Club.
Roy: We hope that Wilf can recover in the next two days from the minor injury he picked up in the warm-up.
Roy: VG and Milivojevic look like they should be available for Monday night.
Roy: We will miss the Selhurst crowd. The fans will also miss being there. The one thing we do know is that, although they aren't with us physically, they will be with us in spirit. We will feel their presence.
Roy: I think we have an excellent chance at finishing in the top half. That is certainly our goal.
Roy: The season we've had so far will give us momentum [for next season] whatever happens. The goal is to make certain we can try and establish ourselves as a top 10 team.
Roy: That's it from Roy! Head over to Palace TV later in the day to watch the press conference in full.
I haven't started a thread on Israel for nearly two years, so hope this is acceptable. Thought it would be better than discussing it on the Keir Starmer thread!
There will be a vote on 1 July to annex 30% of the West Bank, cementing an apartheid system.
Those who think a two state solution is more realistic than Palestinians and Jewish people living together in one state, will have to reassess in my view. A separate and functioning Palestinian state was already very unlikely, and these land grabs make it ever more impossible.
Couldn't see a thread on this, I just noticed the Groups have been drawn for the next edition of the Nations League, due to start in September. Not going to post all of the Groups but will do the Home Nations.
England are in with Belgium, Denmark and Iceland.
Wales and Republic of Ireland are in the same group with Finland and Bulgaria.
Scotland face off against Czech Republic, Slovakia and Israel.
And finally Northern Ireland will be in the same group as Austria, Norway and Romania.
Around 20 police vehicles, armed officers, sniffer dogs and riot shields are on the scene at West George Street in Glasgow. Lots of shouting and huge number of paramedics in hazmat suits
Hi, Another long shot but I am guessing there are experts and geeks out there still :)- we have the fibre to the home BT service and are getting stupidly fast internet speeds now (306mbs to the HUB.
Until recently the house PC windows 10 (powerful thing that I over specified a while back thinking I would use it for gaming and graphic packages etc. ) was pretty much getting those speeds but I have noticed it slowing down and now bizarrely if I run a PC to server speed test (various) I am getting 25-30 max - bizarrely my upstream is still up at 50mb.
I connected the pc via wifi rather than it's usual cabled connection and got the same results. But if I test using my ipad then I get better speeds - approaching 100mb (likely throttled by the house wifi.).
So I am wondering what the problem might be and where do I look next?
I seem to have enough disk space memory and processor spare and so that looks unlikely to be the issue. I risked turning off the realtime virus and firewall for a quick speed test and there was no difference. Went through my startup programme list and turned off anything I don't use. That leaves nvidia/adobe/java/ and the usual stuff.
I do have dropbox, amazon photo and onedrive and maybe there is a conflict between them but its been like that for years now.
I have another full scan running just in case.
Any smart ideas about what might be throttling the inbound pc speeds but not the outbound?
Just seen brief heighlights of millwall 1 Derby 3 and I think Derby have unearhed a real talent in Louis Sibley,!8 Hes a bit of a Will Huges(same stable) lokalike and on the basis of the hattrick he hit Millwal for . with added goals. Palace should take note
Club have announced 5 players are being released and available for free transfers.
They are
Dion-Curtis Henry
Kian Flanagan
Jason Lokilo
Jacob Mensah
Joe Tupper
Tupper and Henry were in our 25 this season, Flanagan and Lokilo had lots written on here about them in hopes they would make it. Confirmation now they have not.
In the hope that there is a poster on here who goes past Shepherd's Bush market and the many cloth/material shops along Goldhawk road can anyone tell me if they are open. My daughter and I are hoping to take a long planned but postponed trip up there to buy materials for a wedding dress. We do not want to turn up to find they are still all shut.
As part of the Crystal Ball competition, we have two Kiwicumulators, one for the first six matches, which was just over 11 months ago, and now another for the last six matches.
Credit to Hughff from New Zealand who created the*Kiwicumulator many years ago.*
Predictions must be in before KO on the first of these last six game, i.e. just before kick-off on 4 July, which I think is at 3pm, but am not 100% sure.
Just Win/Draw/Loss for this: no need to predict the score. There will be individual threads for each match for that.
Crystal Ball points are awarded for:
no predictions right - bonus point
3 predictions right - 1 point
4 right - 3 points
5 right - 5 points
6 right - 7 points
The matches that are the subject of this*Kiwicumulator*will be the final six league games thus:
Leicester (A)
Chelsea (H)
Aston Villa (A)
Manchester United (H)
Wolverhampton Wanderers (A)
Tottenham Hotspur (H)
Julian will always be one of my favourite ever players, never mind goalkeepers.
As a Dundee fan, I was lucky enough to see Julian put in a succession of superb performances for us and it was a big loss when he left.
I was also lucky enough to be down in your gaff for his testimonial , a wonderful event.
Im going to leave it a month, see how the hoi polloi get on before making my decision. Thanks in advance to the boozy pioneers/canon fodder thatll be straight back in:p
Basically its stocks and shares but you trade in football players. You can make money buying and selling if you choose wisely. They pay daily dividends for performances in games. They also pay dividends when a player is in the media etc..
Seems good. Sort of football manager meets fantasy football meets betting.
Ive been playing a few days. About 90p down at the moment after learning the ropes but £2 up today. Its a slow burner but with the football bonanza in the coming months and the transfer window Im hoping to make some cash as it will be busy.
Any experience of it? Tips? Warnings Ill lose all my money :D?
Just a thread to post your favourite pictures of Maltesers, and chat about anything Maltesers related. Please, no pictures of Maltese people, falcons, or Whoppers.
Someone here will have some suggestions. I have a friend who is looking for something that he can download all of his CD collection to, that also has a radio and music streaming facility.
Any ideas?
I think the last thing he made that I saw was Phone Booth, and I'm still not brave enough/haven't got pissed enough to watch Batman & Robin but for The Lost Boys and Falling Down at least, I think he deserves some props. R.I.P.
No point in posting attendance - the brains trust aren't checking it at present - but post your score and scorers.
Heart over head for me.
1-0 Palace win! Luka from the spot.
I wonder how Selhurst Park is going to be dressed in the lower tiers for the Burnley game. Will the HF have a hanging Tifo from the upper tier of the holmesdale? or a flag behind the goal?
Even as an eternal pessimist, I now accept we are safe. :lux:
Once this is the case I always enjoy thinking about who we can nick off the teams that end up dropping.
Looking at the teams in the trenches still, I am wondering who we could/should cherry pick assuming they go down.
Norwich: As much as I like Pukki he is 30 and tailed off a fair bit so seems a gamble - another "old" player for our squad. Cantwell will attract interest from bigger clubs, but one player I would be interested in is Emiliano Buendia. Amazingly, he is something like 5th in the league for chances created and would provide a bit of creativity that we lack.
Villa: Not sure any realistic targets here. Grealish would go far higher then us, McGinn maybe? Tyrone Mings always looks full of mistakes even if he is a unit, but might benefit from playing with Cahill for a year?
Bournemouth: Interesting one as they have some quality players, yet they have looked awful lately. I would be very interested in Callum Wilson as a new CF. Maybe his dip in form might make him more attainable as his stock has dropped in recent months. Fraser on a free has been mentioned already and seems sensible if wages are not crazy. Brooks? King? Ake?
West Ham: The type of players they have seem to be big time charlies, injury prone and on big wages. Ngakia has been linked and again on a free that could make sense from what I've read of him. Nobody else I see as realistic/attractive, although I would've loved Bowen here. :frown:
Watford: I think Watford will stay up sadly, but have been impressed with Sarr when I've watched him. Raw but so, so quick. Suspect he would go higher. I have always thought Deulofeu looks a handful also.
Brighton: Think they will stay up now after meeting Arsenal at the best possible time and doubt they would sell to us anyway. Trossard and Gross look decent to me, aside from that nobody I would be hugely disappointed to miss out on. Maupay also decent but expensive and scored same amount as Prince Ayew.
The father of a school crush of mine was Charlie Fuller, a one time amateur footballer; he once presented prizes at the end of season team lunch. Of more importance to me in those days was his daughter and the fact he owned a pub (The Bicycle Arms near Rotherfield).
She recently put some old photos of him on Facebook; turns out he was captain of the England amateur team, won the FA amateur cup with Bromley and Crystal Palace was amongst the teams he played for!
Does anyone know if the records of wartime records for Palace games exist?
Don't think you can change that team after that performance. There is the question of fitness in a congested fixture list, but I don't think that's an issue yet.
Guaita
Ward - Dann - Cahill - van Aanholt
McArthur - Milivojevic - Kouyate
Ayew - Benteke - Zaha
Not often we think of these but I think what that club hs been through and they still cant play in their ow n city lets not forget. but its remarkable that theyve won promotion to the Chamionship albeit on ponts per game. I know some will hate Mark Robins for his Moan U connection but this is some achievement for him
For the big 200th event we are trying a knock-out competition..last man standing. The excact format (rounds) will be decided by the number of participants. Here is a suggested format for 16 people (but can add on it hopefully).
1.round (16 players) From July 1th to July 8th.
2.round (8 players) From July 9th to July 16th
3.round (4 players) from July 17th to July 23th
4.round (2 players) from July 24th to July 31th
Number of bets pr round 15?
Will try and PM some of the older players. Deadline to sign up is Tuesday 30th of June. Random draw will be made then.
Hope this is the right forum, couldn't find a suitable open thread. Has anyone found a good alternative to a pub quiz during lockdown, where you can actually win some money? The best I've found so far is a website called Quizando (To view the link you have to Register or Login) where I've managed to earn a few quid so far, other options would be great though.

Wanting a "pay monthly and forget it" type scheme.
Wants to pay in £100pm initially (can pay a lump sum to start off if required). Looking for something low risk.
I have just seen this tweet from the FSA. It sounds like when Palace are on Sky Sports but not as a free to air game, the club should be sending out to all season ticket holders a code for 24 hour access to Sky Sports through NowTV, so we can watch the game. I am not sure if it's just home matches or both home and away, but it's happening across the entire PL. It also sounds like BT will be also offering something similar for Season Ticket Holders.
"Season ticket holders in the Premier League should be receiving @NOWTV 24 hour passes directly from their club to watch upcoming behind-closed-doors fixtures that are on Sky: To view the link you have to Register or Login If you haven't got a code yet, get in touch with your SLO or ticket office."
I'm currently completing the second year of a journalism degree at the Uni of Sheffield, but I am strongly considering converting to law. I like journalism, it's fun and plays to my strengths, but I don't think I'm passionate about it to override the fact I'll likely be on dirt wages for most of my life. Law interests me just as much and I think I have the talents for it, as well as more motivation in the form of better money at the end of the tunnel. I've experienced and learnt a lot about it through my court reporting and media law modules, and a week of work experience at a good barrister chambers on Fleet Street when I was 17, which is already a solid start on my Law CV. I plan to convert either through a GDL (graduate diploma in law), a one year course which puts you on roughly the same ground as a law undergraduate, or through a traditional Masters from a university which I'll have to pay off by working a job too, haven't decided yet, though am definitely leaning towards a GDL as it's much cheaper.
Any BBS lawyers or other law professionals, or even just people generally knowledgeable about the law industry, what are your thoughts on the prospects of becoming a barrister vs a solicitor? I know the basics in terms of solicitors being more secure vs barristers earning huge amounts through one case etc, rather what is the state of the industries at the moment? Should either of them be avoided? Thanks.
Helping out a friend with this thread in the hope people can assist with recommendations for a gaming PC. Like me, they know little about the subject and have asked for assistance.
They have a budget of roughly £1000-£1200 and their son will primarily be playing modern games on a daily basis.
Will that budget provide a decent piece of kit? (if not, what will they need to be spending)
What sort of spec should they be looking for? i.e graphics card etc....
Could people provide links/recommendations (and any relevant comments) to what they should be looking for?
The BBS when it's not off on some sort of tribal/political bollox has always been a valuable mine of information on random topics and so I thought I would pose this question. This one is looking for home automation nerds/gurus. Worth a try anyway.
I started to detail it all out but perhaps best to know first if anyone out there has any experience of Velux Active or Somfy Tahoma? I am particularly interested in Tahpma because it purports to bridge RTS and IO controls commands and offers in its own right some level of grouping and scripting and can be controlled itself via Alexa.
Guessing this isn't likely to be that common but thought I would ask. Then if someone has experience/exposure/understanding then I have a couple of dumb questions. :)
Over the past few years since BHAFC was invented in 2011, we have been told numerous stories of their exciting crop of players who, if not propelling their own club to European dominance, would at the very least be doing so for the select few other clubs worth leaving Brighton for (i.e Champions League only).
You are invited to join me in picking any one of these luminaries, informing us of what the Brighton faithful prophesised for the player, and what in actuality came to pass.
I will get the ball rolling with Liam Bridcutt.
What they said:
Best ball playing midfielder in the country, worthy of Champions League football, and a shoo-in for a place in the Barcelona team.
What happened:
Currently struggling to get into the Nottingham Forest team, was loaned out to Lincoln
I'm moving to a new build but it's not finished until near the end of the year but I have a buyer for mine and they will need completion before then. Therefore I'm getting out and moving in with the gf (Quedgeley for those who know the background) until our new home is ready.
So I will have my equity, a six figure sum, which needs to be stored away but available for the completion of the new house. What's the best low risk recommendation finance experts?
I cancelled Sky Sports from my package a few months ago , wondering now whether to reinstate . Understand all sports is £25 monthly , Football only - £18 monthly and a day pass £9.50 .
If honest i did not watch it enough and had thought for a while that it was too expensive . Although it was nice to have , it was only really Palace that i would miss . My thinking is to go for the day pass when Palace are on ( however if they are on twice in a month it equates to the same as a full football package ) I do watch Palace on Sports Donkey but it is not always reliable .
What are your thoughts ?
nb/ Also feel that as matches are behind closed doors they might be a bit dull for a neutral
Just bought a JBL speaker and I need to download music onto me tablet, can the good ship BBS point me in the right direction please.Don't mind paying but will have to cover music back to the 60's and have a huge choice in genre. Thanks👍
It's to go on a Samsung tablet if that makes any difference.
Not the red-striped football type but the large buzzy garden type. And before anyone says AATOT, they are most definitely not the same as those horrible sting first, ask questions later, morally delinquent wasp things.
Anyway, to cut to the chase, does anyone know why I keep finding dead bumble bees on buttercups/cloves on my lawn? Given the importance of bees to our environment I am a tad concerned.
I often listen to cds on my PC or transfer to Walkman . However last couple days nothing happens . I put CD in but nothing , gone into device manager and it says drive is ok but when I check properties on file explorer it doesn't seem to detect a CD ? I have inserted a dvd/ cd drive cleaner disc and still nothing . There was a Windows update recently , but I have gone back to a restore point but still no luck ? Any ideas
Is it me or do we seem to feature less on the games being shown all day along on Sky? They are showing this (quite random not just classic matches) seasons and previously seasons prem and championship games and we hardly ever appear?
How does it work? I put a rubbery thing in a hole and close its little door. Then I close the big door and off it goes.
Does the tablet door open and the tablet drops to the bottom of the machine? Does it then sort of hover above a jet of water? Or does it dissolve at the bottom and make a bubbly soup that then sort of swirls round the dishes?
Not sure why it's taken me so long to make a vid about Vince as he was my very first Palace hero. For me, only Wilf and Wrighty have entertained as much in my 40 years following the club.
It's taken a long time but I'm happy to announce that the One More Point book "Is That The Programme?" launches on Friday 12 June
Will be strange to not do a book launch from a pub like Eagle Eye did back in 1993 - that was one of the appeals when I started writing this!
Overview
In Is That The Programme? One More Points editor/producer Cris Lehmann, tells the story of the excitement of the era and how Palace fanzine Eagle Eye in particular inspired him to play his own part in this terrace revolution.
There were no rules and regulations. Such fanzines were put together with scissors, glue sticks, pens and pencils rather than the modern software. The final result was rarely slick, yet the content would have a life of its own, where boundaries were pushed, club chairmen and occasionally players would pull their hair out and a hardcore of fans would come back again and again for every issue.
Any profits made would invariably be put to good use in the pub, bookies or on match tickets and travel costs for the following weeks match.
In a time before the internet enabled rumours/information to spread in a matter of hours, the fanzines were often the way fans learnt of the comings and goings at the club. The book captures the fun, excitement, hassles, the stories and anecdotes and everything else that came with the role of being a fanzine editor back in the glory days of terrace culture.
Just watched on Palace TV . I was still nervous watching the penalty shoot out . Didn't remember we missed 2 ( Derry and Routledge ) Dowie was magnificent that season .

Has anyone on the BBS got an Axolotl? we have noticed today a round sack like object in the tank which our Axolotl Axel (see what we did there!!) has covered in sand? any ideas?
Recently released is a new game called Maneater where you play the bloody role of the life and evolution of a Shark.
This game is played in a vast open world and your play area gets bigger as your Shark evolves by leveling up which is done by eating prey and by completing quests.
Why are these 2nd home owners here, when there was a lock down, where's the fines, where's the repercussions? :grrr: Really is one rule for them and another for us.
Out of contract at West Ham this summer and has rejected an offer believed to be £5,000 per week. Played 8 times for West Ham at RB this season and has been one of the few positives this season.
Could be worth a look on a free transfer with low wages as competition to Joel next season? I know were heavily linked with Ferguson but this would be a similar signing in terms of finance.
To celebrate the impending arrival of Ms Perrys mini Orlando, what better time to cast an eye over her impressive body. Of work. We first travel back to where it all began - the delightfully homoerotic anthem I Kissed a Girl...
Video - 4/5
Song - 5/5
Our introduction to Katie begins with a lingering shot of her stroking her pussy in bed, whilst reminiscing about an illicit sexually charged encounter with a member of the same sex. She reassures us that it was not at all planned, and that shes unsure of the reaction that this might provoke in her boyfriend. As far as Im concerned, I wouldnt mind it at all, provided of course Im involved in the future should there be a repeat. Accordingly Im willing to wear as much cherry chapstick as necessary to get in on the action. Youre welcome.
The rest of the video is fairly standard fayre, with Katy acting coquettishly with a slight air of faux modesty (which Im not buying at all). For many of us, this was our first glance at two truly great wonders of the world, and they do not disappoint at all.
Once we are fully regaled of the whole sordid encounter, the video cuts to Katy returning to the mundane reality of her life, waking up next to the sorry excuse of a boyfriend whos clearly not servicing her anywhere near as well as I would be - otherwise she wouldnt have even felt the need to embark upon a rug munching adventure.
Final Thoughts - A lamentable boyfriend though he is, we can at least take comfort in the fact that his lack of sexual prowess was the catalyst for this storming anthem for forbidden lady love. Huzzah!
I worked with a bloke called Peter Nutt - P Nutt.
Funniest bloke I've ever known. Well you'd have to be with a name like that!
On first meeting him I asked if that was his real name. He told me to f*ck off first of all and then told me he heard em all...'I've got a sister called Hazel'. 'My dad's a kernel in the Brazilian army'...
Are there any BBS members living/working in Cyprus?
I am migrating there in September and plan to be supporting Paphos when I am not watching Palace - most will know that Puncheon and Sako play there.
I note that the European U17 championships are scheduled for Cyprus next year and wonder that if England qualify, are there likely to be any Palace youngsters in the squad?
Taken from the bonus disc of the Palace Centenary DVD and probably recorded in 2004. It really is a cracking interview.
Not sure if the Centenary DVD is still available, but would encourage anyone to try and get hold of one if you've yet to see it. It is a superbly made documentary of our club's journey from 1905.
Went to The Planetarium circa 1984 with a girl I was seeing at the time.
It was named The Laserium I think. Basically a laser show to pop music and this is what I remember most.
I got a bj after this.
Thanks Thomas.
Dunno where me ex girlfriend went!
Clubs will now be allowed to make up to 5 substitutions and have 9 players on their bench under Project Restart as this has today been agreed at the Premier League Meeting.
This is good news for Palace as they now have a fully fit squad available to pick from.
Probably one of the most unappreciated players ever to be honest. Everybody rates him of course, but not many rate him highly enough, especially pre his Arsenal days where he was massively underrated outside Spain, despite being a top player like David Silva, for example.
One of the top talents in world football at the moment, watched him earlier in the season absolutely ripping the piss out of one of the English clubs in the CL (can't remember who).
In the article with Steve Parish in the Daily Mail posted on another thread he reveals his sister who lived in Canada tipped him off about him. We were all set to sign him but couldn't get a work permit so the deal fell through :sob:
Hello, has anyone heard of 'throughput'' affecting broadband speeds? In short 30meg goes into the router but only 13meg comes out.
Plusnet have sent 3 engineers so far, which the last one said is now pointless as it needs to be corrected by the ISP.
Does anyone know what they have to do? A replacement router doesn't seem to be the solution as I got them to send a replacement to rule that out.
As some of the older members will know, I used to help moderate here - and now I run a similar setup for MCC members. The two sites are similar .. except the BBS has around 100,000 more members and the average age is probably less than half that of the MCC MIOLP members.
Over the last few weeks I have hosted Zoom Q&A sessions with John Emburey and David Gower - and tomorrow by way of a change my guest is comedian, satirist and impressionist Rory Bremner. If any of you would like to attend, you would be most welcome. The session is open to all, although we are limited to a maximum of 500 participants. If you would like to join us, send me a PM or an email to james@mccolp.net

I ordered some stuff from Ebay, paid with my debit card. Afeter a few days, I got an email from Ebay to say the sellers account was compromised and the order would be cancelled. It told me to put in a claim to Ebay resolution centre, which I did, and to their credit, within half an hour I had an email to say that my mone had been refunded to my Paypal account on the 31st (yesterday).
No, I haven't used my Paypal account for years, and I never paid through them. So I went onto my account, reset my password as I couldn't remember it, and there is no money in there.
My question, does it take a bit of time to go in, and can I withdraw it. Will Paypal charge me.
I am a bit annoyed that Ebay paid the refund into an account that I never used to pay for the goods.
