Afternoon all. Firstly apologies if there’s already a thread(s) on this, had a look but couldn’t find.
Big year this year. Me and the Mrs 50th, 21 years of marriage, youngest daughter 16 etc, so looking to do something special for holidays.
Various options discussed - cruise, safari, road trip etc
Want to explore two options more closely and that’s Australia and Canada road trips/multi centre holidays.
Dates wise we’re restricted on dates in that we have kids at school/uni but more so that the wife works in a school so we’re stuck in that regard and our summer holidays really only give us the 2 and a half to 3 weeks we want for this sort of holiday.
With the kids at the age they are we have pretty much ruled out a motorhome but still an option, so will be either internal flights or car and hotels.
Couple of early thoughts for Aus are to start in Sydney, 3 or 4 days there and then work up to Brisbane taking in the usual spots. Or start in Brisbane and work up towards the GBR. Would love to do Sydney to Melbourne but thinking wrong time of year
Canada would be Vancouver start - we have family there. Not looked much further than that yet.
Any tips, advice etc etc would be appreciated
And would be extremely disappointed if I don’t get a IM GOING ON HOLIDAY from SC...
