Palace fan – Graham Clark – RIP

jeudi 8 juin 2017

It is with great sadness that I share the news that a fellow Palace fan, Graham Clark, died last week.
Graham, a member of the Palace family for more than 50 years, may be known to many of you. He was a regular supporter both home and away, and held a Season ticket for many years in Main Stand.
Graham was a wonderful husband and father and a natural organiser and leader. Quite apart from ensuring a disparate group of fellow Palace fans regularly made it to away games through meticulous planning and coercion, he was also a driving force for a local Amateur Dramatic Group.
Early last year he was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. He fought a valiant battle against this dreadful condition with a formidably positive attitude and good humour. Along with his family and friends, he launched a charity appeal that has, so far, realised £10,000 and continues to grow. The club, through the Palace Foundation, also supported his causes. For the Chelsea away game, Graham (in his wheelchair) and a group of supporters walked from Selhurst to Stamford Bridge in support of the MND Association.
His last game was the win over Hull, and he was relieved and delighted that the club had survived in the Premier League.
He was such great company, always full of fun and mischief. We will miss him.
