For all the negative posters heaping pressure on Pardew, perhaps it is also time to have a look at the skipper on the pitch Scott Dann. I questioned whether he was the man for the job when he was appointed, so perhaps I am not as neutral on the subject as some others. Obviously he's a good player, and i felt after the Bournemouth equaliser that I needed to hold my hands up because that was real leadership. Since then though, he looks sluggish, he is not winning as many headers, and the defence looks all over the place. Is he the right man for the job? Or would it be better to put the captaincy elsewhere in order that he can concentrate on his own game and organising the defence? (This is not meant as a dig at Scott Dann by the way, but I feel it merits discussion.)
