I hate clicking on The Mail but I did when I saw that Pardew has blamed 'a sub' (Lee) for not giving over the message about marking Toure on Saturday.

'The message with what one of our players needed to do, didn’t come from one of the substitutes to him. And that is not acceptable to me,' Pardew said. 'We will have to make sure that the next time they out there they wear a t-shirt with the message on it, or something. That is a little bit frustrating, if I’m honest.
Not the first time there has been public criticism between these two - I also thought his comment about the T shirt sounded particularly patronising.
Either way, it doesn't sound like a farcical way to drop another point.
