Clattenburg hammers the other team for once

He begins with allowing Jedi to push over West Ham player as they burst forward...

Have to say I didn't get to watch the 90minutes and am just watching the sky extended highlights program.

Palace start terrible. Punch can't control a ball or pass it. Players not on same wave length. Zaha picks up the ball and you can hear the fans shouting pass it but he is surrounded by 5 West Ham players and no out ball. The team are dropping really really deep too. West Ham advance well into our half without challenge.

The goal provides a bit of respite and you have their keeper to thank and Delaney for gambling! Super work from him terrible from the keeper.

It's amazing how the commentary is talking about palace targeting Antonio as their right back isn't a proper right back, but what is in fact happening is that Antonio is attacking soare and sako and making them both look like mugs. Our players look a yard short, rusty, switched off.

Their goal comes as no surprise. Our left side is ripped open, ball comes over, clearance falls far too close to goal and its tucked away. Easy. The problem is we continue with a tactic that is allow them to play how they want to.

What I was encouraged to see was zaha cutting into the middle on a breakaway rather than hugging the line. Although the resulting free kick won wasn't even worth showing on a 70minute highlight program.

Punch had a glorious chance to get the ball on target but doesn't read the ball at all and puts it over with his thigh. Palace break away lead by puncheon and he kicks the ball out of play. Seriously, what is wrong with him?

And henessey. How pundits are not blaming him for that free kick going in I do not know. ITS THE SAME F&@£;?!G MISTAKE. Someone sit him in a room and make him watch replays of both these free kicks he has conceded for a day. Over and over. Until he learns that if a free kick goes in the corner protected by the wall then fine, if it goes in keeper side you need to find a new career. Livid does not adequately describe my feelings for that goal.

Second half sees zaha make way for gayle. Odd considering how rubbish punch was all first half. Also let's look at tactics. Antonio targeted by the rubbish soare n sako first half makes us look like mugs, second half switch it round so he has to deal with bolasie gets to play with him. This is how we should have started Pardew, but for the 20th game in a row we started with the wrong ideas. How is this possible? Suddenly we are actually in the game too.

Just thinking, sako gets a chance to shoot at goal from the edge of the box but can't beat the defender on the line, how the hell are you going to beat the actual keeper when he is in his goal?

The pressure is in their half too, they are being forced into bad passes and it is unsettling them. Again why didn't we do this all match?

Then clattenburg has realised the cameras aren't on him. He is not the main attraction. Like a toddler he grabs the first chance when kauote makes a poor challenge and he can't get the red card out fast enough. You know, even though it benefits our team, the look on his face as he does it. I just want to hurt him. Let's get political. He has that look on his face, the same one David Cameron has when he announces something that will benefit the masses but he actually knows it will benefit him and his mates and hurt the masses. Because he is a bad person (and yes I am trying to avoid using bad words.)

The second half is strangely enough all palace with the tactics changes. Gayles goal is no surprise considering the chances we created. It's also the result of putting the other team under pressure. If you can keep that pressure up a mistake will come, you turn the screw and that's the result. Thinking back to the Leicester game, all those crosses we put in but there was no actual pressure to go along with it so the defence grew in confidence instead. Today it was different, the defence starts to get scrappy and doubt itself. 2 players go for one ball. Why am I explaining this? We see it every week from our defence! They have to deal with so much that eventually a slip up is made and the goal is conceded.

So we come away with 1 point where I honestly expected none so I am happy at least. What I am not happy about is the team selection and the tactics employed. It's the same issues over and over again.

Henessey needs to take a time out. Soare needs to become the winger he wants to be. Puncheon is back to being carried rather than carrying. Zaha was isolated. NO STRIKER ON THE PITCH FOR 45 MINUTES. God, I cannot stress that enough. Why do we persist with bolasie up there when we have actual strikers on the bench, 2 of them. If you are going to play that tactic just put Dann up there instead, at least the crosses would have a purpose and he is better at holding up the ball.

What I really think is that Pardew has a plan a to start with and plan b in case it doesn't work. He should just throw plan a away and start with plan b.

Next up is Norwich and if we start like this we could be out the game by half time, we need to start with a good balanced team and look to dominate the game. We are approaching each game like the underdogs when we are better than that. We need to decide the flow of the game rather than allowing the opposition to. I have immense trepidation about the next fixture.
