Using Chelsea as an example.. any wrongful decision or foul made against them and their players are all round the referee pressurising him.
Whilst I am not condoning this - our players don't seem to put up any sort of fight when we get ****ed over time and time again. The penalty yesterday would never have been given against a top 4 side because the ref would be too scared to give it. Why do we make it so easy for refs to give these decisions against us?
Selhurst is a hostile place when the fans are on the ref and the players don't seem to use this to our advantage.. second half in particular there was one foul on zaha where he was completely wiped out by a defender running across him.. The crowd were up in arms and the players did nothing.
Then at the end of the game they all go up to the ref and shake his hand when it was one of the most one sided refereeing performances I've seen at selhurst in a long time.
I'm not condoning players surrounding the ref but surely there has to be a happy medium so the ref knows he can't take the piss out of us?!
