Being a fan of the Bfi Sight and Sound magazine, I came across an article about documentaries from Britain in the 50s and 60s. One such is entitled Six Days To Saturday by director John Boorman. It is about Swindon Town Football Club. Why of interest to Palace fans? Well, it is the 1963 season and guess who was the manager? None other than, Bert Head. Not only that but Bobby Woodruff and 17 years old, Don Rogers feature also. The video 35 minutes long is on YouTube. Search for it with the title and 1963 and you will find. Enjoy!
