A friend/colleague of mine has had his son, who no longer lives at home, cause crinimal damage to his house.
His son has been charged for this offence, however my friends house insurance is refusing to accept a claim, as the son is still on the electoral role at the family address and he cannot prove the son left two months ago.
However the local court have a different address for his son, but the insurance company refuse to contact the court for confirmation saying that the telephone number provided by my friend could be anyones !!!!!
Is the insurance company at it or is this common policy?
My friend and his wife are at their wits end as not only are they worried their son will come back and do the same again but also how much it is costing them. So far it has almost been a grand.
