Fund Raiser for a charity named 'Aching Arms' who help grieving mums that have suffered the loss of their baby through pregnancy or stillbirth.
My daughter, Christina, was expecting her first child last Christmas, but the whole family were saddened to see her called in to Croydon University Hospital in November, with just six weeks to go to the baby's expected birth.
Christina had to go through the ordeal of giving birth, despite being told shortly after arrival that the baby had died.
All the family, huge Palace fans (Christina was born in September 1990, which older fans will know was the start of our greatest ever season, a few months after our first ever FA Cup Final and a few months before our 3rd place finish in 1991) had a tough time trying to get Christina through this.
The Aching Arms charity were a massive help, contacting Christina and giving advice and encouragement from fellow mums who have suffered in a similar way.
We are trying to raise funds for Aching Arms, holding a Quiz Night at Thornton Heath Bowls Club, Gonville Road, CR7 6DR on Saturday night.
Julian Speroni, Jim Cannon, Dave Madden and Keith Millen were all kind enough to sign a Palace away shirt from this season and Aching Arms have now placed this on ebay, if you would like to bid for it
