Xxx 'is an upgrade on...' I see this often when talking of transfers.
An 'upgrade'?! Like a computer program. Or something from a computer game.
Awful, mechanical, tech-speak devoid of any life or character. As if they are screen avatars or characters.
How about X is an improvement upon Y?
Or simply better than?
Any other modern terms, foreign or domestic that have crept into the game that get your goat - and should be banished?
